All the friends I've made over the years at my place of work are retiring at the end of this year.  :(

What does one do in this situation?  Counselling may be provided to those who are entering retirement, but what about those who are left behind? 

It sure is going to be more lonely at work without the laughter and enjoyment of familiar voices on the phone and faces in my office.  Of course it might mean more lunches together for a quick chat and more braais to reminisce about the "old days".

 Of course it is going to take some effort to keep in touch but this will also be a test to see who really are the friends and who are the acquaintances - ahh, such is life!
